Hello all,

I hope everyone is having a great summer!!

Here is a quick update of the going ons at the Kellam house:

June was a month for birthdays - on the 17th Scott celebrated his 51st b-day! yes, I said 51!!!!! We recognized this "historic" event by attending a birthday party for Troy (our grand son!!) who turned 5 the following day (so, June 18th) Jon and Court made hamburgers/hotdogs and had a few friends over. It was fun to watch all the little ones run around, they sure are growing up fast. Troy will be starting Kindergarten in the fall, seems like only yesterday when he was born. Of course, it seems like yesterday when Chase and Paige were born too!!! Jon and Courtnie are doing great, Jon is still in the elevator business and Court is running her store like the pro she is, they are renting a cute house a couple miles from us and are raising kids and livin life!! Princess Isabelle (well, we think so anyway!) is fabulous, she LOVES shoes - she will wear every shoes in mine and Babet's (Paige) closest during an afternoon at Nina and Papa's. She is the spitting image of Court and Paige including her ATTITUDE!! I would like to blame Scott for that one but, I think I am mostly responsible - LOL! She is definitely the apple of our eye!!

Scotty is still in Georgia (sure would like to have him closer to home!!!) (yes, son that was a hint!! LOL) He is selling motorcycles and seems to love living the life of a bachelor. He and Scott talk several times a week but, he really should call me more often!! (another hint!!)

Chase has been playing golf with Scott (they try and play at least once a week) he has such a great swing and like Scott can knock the c**p out of the ball. He is really enjoying his time with dad on the course and is improving with each outing! His soccer team is moving to a higher division (tougher competition!) this fall so will begin training again in July. He will also be playing football for the school in the fall so the endurance training will help with both sports. Scott took the kids deep sea fishing a couple of weekends ago, Paige opted to skip the fishing expedition in favor of the beach (that's my girl!!) but, missed the 3 foot King Mackerel Chase caught! They released it back to the sea after taking a few photos with their camera phones, I will try and post those pics later! Oh yeah, Chase is now the TALLEST in our family (I know it really didn't take much!!LOL) but he is growing like a weed!!!

Paige is well, Paige!! She attended soccer camp at Trinity University with her friend and team mate Chickie and had a blast! She is really enjoying sleeping in and shopping (I think she get that from my Mom - haha) this summer, but I know that she is anxiously awaiting being a middle schooler (hard to believe, isn't it!) She will also begin soccer training in July which is great since she misses it so much!! She is so pretty and fun loving, we may have a tough time keeping the boys away but Scott says he is up for the challenge!! LOL

Both kids will go to Hermann Sons overnight camp on July 20 for an entire week!!! I am excited now for the break but know after about 2 days I will miss them more than they miss me!! LOL

Probably a lot I left out but, will leave you wanting more :)

Let us know what is happenin in you neck of the woods!

Wow, time sure gets away from you in a hurry!!! Sorry it has been soooooooooooo long since my last blog!

Here is what has been happen in the Kellam's world:

The school year ended on a great note, Chase passed his TAKS tests and was promoted to the 8th grade!! He also had perfect attendance for the entire school year!!! Paige graduated from elementary school with a great send off, a swim party and graduation/award ceremony. She received several awards including the Principal's award (this was only given to 1 student and was voted on by her peers !!) Scott, Courtnie, myself and my Mom were there to witness this great honor!! and summer then began...

The kids and I were headed to the coast for some beach time the day after school let out but, the weather down south forced us cancel, which then lead to me hearing "I'm bored" and "what are you going to do to entertain me" ALOT!! Luckily we had a great vacation scheduled to Disney World starting June 10 (Thanks to my Mom and Dad!!!!) so I was able to use that trip as a reminder to the kids that great things were coming soon and what an awesome time we had!!!! We (Scott, myself, Chase, Paige, my brother and sister-in-law and 2 nieces (Bryan, Becky, Heather and Katie) and my Mom and Dad) left San Antonio and headed for a flight out of Austin to Orlando on the morning of June 10, we arrived at our Disney World resort around 5:30, checked in and headed straight to Epcot for the evening!!! We went to all 4 of the parks in the 3 days we were there(some of them a couple of times) rode just about every roller coaster, and saw has many shows as we possibly could. I don't think any of us realized how much walking we would be doing but, let me tell you it was a bunch!!!!!
We flew back into Austin on Saturday, June 14, arrived about 12:00 p.m. and my Mom dropped Chase, Paige and myself off at Schiletterbahn (water park in New Braunfels) on the way back to SA, we did not leave there until about 8:15 and by the time we got home all three of us were completely exhausted and barely made it in the house!! Nothing like cramming a whole summer's worth of fun into a week!!

Still have a few camps left to do, hermann sons over night camp in July and soccer, football, and maybe tennis camp in between!!!

Hope everyone is having a great summer!!!

Hello Everyone,

Sorry it has been awhile since my last post, I lost track of time with so many things going on!

Fiesta has come and gone in SA, what a party!! Between the celebration at Paige's school and working at NIOSA a couple of nights during the week, sleep and computer time sort of got lost in the shuffle!! I am glad to report that I have caught up on my sleep and well as you can tell have managed to find a little computer time!

Great news... That "wonderful" breakfast I made for Paige before her math TAKS (LOL) really paid off as she made a perfect score on the test!!! She has since taken the Science TAKS and we are eagerly waiting for her scores. Chase also took 2 TAKS test this past week, Math and Reading, keep your fingers, toes and if it suits you say a little pray as we are also waiting for his scores!!! LOL He really tries hard but, academics just don't come as easy for him as they do for Paige, guess that is why God made him my little athlete!!!

OK, I know you all have been biting your nails waiting for soccer info (LOL) so here it is, Chase's team played their final season game on Saturday up in Austin, after a very well played game they ended in a tie 1-1, there are still a few scores not posted but, after all the dust settles it looks like they will finish in 4th place, not too bad considering they way they started the season!!! Paige's team finished their season last Monday with a victory to clinch 2nd place and a trip to Austin this past weekend for the state playoffs. They tied their first 2 games on Saturday and lost the 3rd to the only undefeated team which eliminated them from the tournament! They played their little hearts out and 3 games in 1 day was a lot to ask. It may sound as if soccer is over for a while, but don't despair (haha) we are only taking a week or so off before they begin practicing again as the coaches are already talking about playing a few up coming tournaments.

Hope this finds everyone healthy and having fun! I will try and be more diligent about my postings!

Love to all!!

Hey everyone,

OK, here is what went on last week in the Kellam's world. SOCCER! enough said! talk to you all again soon!

Just kiddin - although it is the truth! Both teams won this weekend!!!! The Giants (Chase's team) played awesome looked like the old Giants were back - I sure hope they stick around, since they only have 2 games left this season and need to win both! Paige's team (Hot Shots) played great also, they didn't have much competition this weekend and won 6-0, Paige scored 2 goals so we were all pretty excited about that! It is amazing to see how much both kids have improved over the years - Chase's ball handling skills and just general knowledge of the game is unbelievable and our little Paigie is soooooooo aggressive and doesn't let anyone push her or any of her teammates around, she quite verbal, can't imagine who she gets that from :) They are both doing well in school (THANK GOODNESS!) so not a lot to report there.

I forgot to mention in my last blog that Scotty was here for a couple of days!! It was really great to be able to spend some time with him, of course it wasn't quite long enough. He really seems to be enjoying his new job, but would be nice to have him closer to home.

Courtnie, Jon and the babies, that are not such babies anymore :( are doing great. Troy will start kindergarten in August (that is just crazy!!!) and Belle is still the little princess and shoe lover (takes after her Nina!!) Court is still managing her store (Nine West) and Jon is still in the elevator business so... all is well there!

Scott has been keeping busy with more motorcycle and boat work then he can handle sometimes but seems to be quite content. He really loves his new found freedom and ability to spend more time with the kiddos!

Me, just working, getting ready for FIESTA (San Antonio's biggest party), running kids everywhere and just livin life!

Hope everyone is doing GREAT!!

Hi Everyone,

It's time for a quick Kellam update!!

Well, once again we had an extremely busy week and even busier weekend!

As I mentioned in my last blog, Paige was going to take the math TAKS test that day - we do not have the results back yet but, she feels like she did really well!! (I am sure she did!!) the rest of the week was somewhat normal with soccer practice 2 days a week for both kiddos (luckily they are on the same days and at the same place - for now anyway!!), fighting over getting homework done, getting everyone fed, in the shower, telling them to brush their teeth 12 times (and still not totally convinced that they did), and getting everyone (including myself - haha like that would ever happen!!) in bed at somewhat of a decent hour. So in other words "Livin Life"

Saturday was a full day of soccer, soccer and oh yeah soccer - LOL and some how in between all that soccer Paige and I managed to work (well, I worked, Paige played) at the school carnival, while the boys (Scott and Chase) made the trek to Austin for Chase's (yep you guessed it!) soccer game. Paige made two awesome crosses (for you non-soccer people that means kicked the ball across the field to an open player) that both resulted in goals or GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAL! if you watch soccer on TV!! Scott said that Chase also played well and thankfully both teams won!!

Sunday was more laid back (Thank Goodness!) With both kids spending the night away on Saturday - we slept in (you know until 8:15 a.m.) I washed the cars and Scott worked on my dad's boat. He took it for a test run out to the lake which, did not go so well! He had to swim it in! Never a good sign when he comes home soaking wet!! LOL Did manage to watch the SPURS lose to the Lakers (ugh!!!) Sunday afternoon, sure hope they will pull it together for the playoffs!!

Well, it was back to work and school today to start what I am sure will be yet another crazy week.

Hope everyone is good and your taxes are done!!!

040808 Update

Good morning all!! Just a quick update on the going ons with the Kellams in SA :

Today is math TAKS for Paige - so believe it or not I actually made breakfast this morning (eggs, hashbrowns and cinnamon rolls) for those of you that know me well know this is HUGE!! ( LOL) Of course she loaded the hashbrowns with ketchup and eat those first and then only had room for half a cinnamon roll and ONE bite of eggs - little potato lover, she is her mother's daughter!!

Chase played in his first golf tournament yesterday! Not sure who was more excited Chaseor Scott! It was a nine hole, shot gun start with over 100 7th grade boys, he didn't have a fantastic start but managed to find his groove and finished tied for 3rd!!!!!! The hardest part of the day use watching Scott NOT be allowed to coach - you might as well cut his tongue off!!!! It was actually pretty funny and I am sure that Chase enjoyed the silence for a change!

I know this first one is short but, I am off to work - YES, I actually have a job that I have to go to! It is only part time (bookkeeping for TX Literacy Resources) but it gets me out of the house and gives me money for SHOES, and I always need more shoes.

Hope everyone has a fantastic day!!

Until next time remember:
